New Morning Glass makes each cabinet knob completely by hand
using the "offhand" method of glassblowing. We gather the glass which is 2150
F. from our glass furnace. Our furnace glass is a sand, soda and lime
crystal. This gather is on the end of a "punty" pipe. We roll the hot glass
in colored "fritted" glass. We add our colors one at a time. We then
manipulate the colors into our designs.

Each doorknob and cabinet knob is created by hand. Bubbles (we put some of them there)
are an inherent part of handblown glass. We can send pictures via email. All knobs vary
slightly in size, shape and color. That is part of the process of glassblowing. We work
hard to make a unique and beautiful product. We want our customers pleased with New Morning
Glass and the entire shopping experience.
Bonding! We consider the
mounting of our glass to metal to be of the utmost importance. We use 3M
Scotch-Weld DP-105 Epoxy Adhesive.
